The Junior Suite was spacious, clean, and quiet. Our room faced into the atrium. The bathroom is well set up with everything one needs. We had access to the Rosewood Executive Lounge. It is quite small, but the evening canapes were delicious and varied. The French merlot they served in the Lounge was great. Special thanks to the lovely staff Rita, Jennifer, and Maggie, who made us feel so welcomed. Rita's tip to taste authentic beef noodle soup at a shop nearby was great. We came from our cruise ship mid-morning on a Sunday, and it was too late to book any day tours. The concierge organised a driver to take us places that would have been visited in the standard tours. We used a private driver for 2 days to visit out of city places such as Juifen and Shifen, as well as a city tour to cover the main highlights. The breakfast buffet has a huge range, and I especially liked the cooked to order noodles. There are 7Eleven stores and mini-marts everywhere, and large stores such as Sogo is a comfortable walk up the road. MRTs are also near the hotel although we didn't use them. Would definitely stay at the Howard Plaza hotel again should I return to Taipei.

Howard Plaza was located between two MRT stations, which made it convenient to go anywhere. About 10 minute walk each way. It's also close to a couple of malls such as SOGO, Breeze, Poya...SOGO Dunhua and SOGO Fuxing being my favorites. Hotel was nice and clean. We had the family room which was spacious depending on which family room you end up with. If you're lucky get any floor with last two digits of 43. Those are the largest rooms. Buffet style breakfast was included, which my father and I enjoyed, but my American family did not. My girls preferred the traditional taiwanese breakfast instead. Try to get to breakfast early. When they are full, they send you to the 4th floor restaurant, which provides less food and is subpar. The Howard was willing to store our luggage for 3 days since we were traveling and came back. They are an honest group. We left many things unlocked and open bag purchases and everything was still there when we came back. I would definitely return to stay at the Howard again.

Lots of dining options and decent gym in the hotel means you don't need to go out for anything. 5 min walk to Daan or ZhongXiao Fuxing MRT, a few stops on MRT to Main Station or Airport MRT. Enjoyed staying here and wouke definitely return. Good value 5* hotel in Taipei. Asked for a mattress topper as the base mattress was quite firm- staff arrived and fitted it within 10 mins of calling reception - great service.

Hotel staff were terrific, well trained and super motivated to help. The hotel was slammed with guests for an international volleyball tournament, but the hotel functioned like it was just another day. They really met the needs of everyone. Everything at the hotel is well cared for and extremely clean. Housekeeping generally only spoke Chinese, but we're patient with my use of the translator app and made it easy to communicate always with a smile. Beautiful place and great location between the old and new places in the city.

Location was excellent, near public transport and walkable to most places! Also so easy to hail a taxi or call an uber if needed. Staff were so professional and lovely. Rooms were clean and had all you needed. The hotel itself is absolutely massive with its own shopping centre. Most importantly it was quiet, no rowdy guests and you couldn’t hear your neighbours. There are great restaurants onsite and the room service was delicious. I really cannot fault this hotel and I would definitely stay again next time I am in Taiwan!
